Acceptable Use Policy

Effective Date: April 30, 2026

This policy supplements the Terms of Service and applies to all users of RERALex.

1. Permitted Use

You may use RERALex for:

  • Legal research for personal, academic, or professional purposes
  • Bookmarking, annotating, exporting within plan limits
  • Sharing specific judgment links with colleagues (within team plans)

2. Prohibited Activities

2.1 Automated Access

  • No bots, crawlers, scrapers, or automated agents without express written permission
  • No scripts that simulate user behavior to bypass rate limits
  • No headless browser automation

2.2 Data Extraction

  • No bulk download of judgments beyond plan limits
  • No systematic harvesting of editorial content
  • No mirroring or republishing of Platform content

2.3 Account Misuse

  • No account sharing
  • No selling, transferring, or sublicensing access
  • No creation of multiple accounts to bypass plan limits

2.4 AI Misuse

  • No use of AI features to generate misleading legal content presented as authoritative advice
  • No prompt injection attempts
  • No use of Platform AI to train competing models

2.5 Security

  • No security testing without written authorization
  • No exploitation of vulnerabilities (responsible disclosure to security@reralex.com)
  • No DDoS, brute-force, or denial-of-service activities

2.6 Content Misuse

  • No reproduction of editorial headnotes/ratios in commercial products
  • No claiming authorship of Platform content
  • No defamatory, infringing, or unlawful uploads

3. Enforcement

Violations may result in:

  • Warning + cooldown
  • Rate limit reduction
  • Temporary suspension
  • Permanent termination without refund
  • Legal action under Indian IT Act, Copyright Act, and other applicable laws
